The Hamilton Ornament Crawl is back Dec. 1-4. The ticket gives attendees the opportunit­y to collect 15 to 30 different ornaments from local participat­ing businesses (each ornament is valued up to $15), plus VIP promos from other local businesses. The ticket price to participat­e in the Ornament Crawl and to retrieve 15 ornaments is $30 or get all 30 ornaments for $60. People will have four days to collect the ornaments. This event begins at noon Dec. 1 and ends at 4 p.m. Dec. 4.

Ornaments have been pre-selected and are unique to each participat­ing business location.

Holiday Whopla officially kicks off Friday.

With a Whoville and Winter Wonderland theme, this party includes a skating rink, live entertainm­ent (dance troupes and local choirs), light displays, sweet treats, eggnog, meet-and-greets with Mrs. Claus and the Grinch, and more.

Check it out at Central Ave. and S. Broad St. every Friday and Saturday through Jan. 1. There is no admission cost. Ice skating is $10.

There are two shifts: 6 to 8 p.m. and 8 to 10 p.m. each night. Greeters note the number of cars that come through and direct people where to place donations.

Those traveling directly to the destinatio­n should go to the Dunlapsvil­le Boat Ramp parking area at Brookville Reservoir.

Note that Indiana 101 is closed just south of the turnoff to Dunlapsvil­le. Those traveling directly to the destinatio­n should follow U.S. 27 to Liberty, Indiana. and take Indiana 101 south to the destinatio­n.
