Hamilton Offers Memorable Experience­s To A Wide Range of Tastes For The Holidays

The Holiday Season is thriving in Hamilton! Live entertainm­ent at RiversEdge and Santa’s arrival at the annual tree lighting drew the largest crowd ever. Then Small Business Saturday was an enormous success as one of the best in the region. The shops and restaurant­s were full of energy with capacity crowds. This is an exciting time of the year to spend time with family and friends engaging in activities and Hamilton has a wide array for all ages and interests. This Sunday December 5th is the annual German Village Christmas Walk from 12:00 to 5:00 As a group or an individual, you can step back into a traditiona­l holiday experience with beautifull­y decorated historic homes, food and drink, choirs, locally crafted gifts and even reindeer! If you miss Santa while he is visiting German Village, you and the children can catch up with him at his workshop on Second Street, next to the Courthouse right here in Downtown Hamilton. Speaking of Santa, he is quite stressed right now because his reindeer are running lose in Hamilton! Just a few blocks away from Santa’s workshop is Winter in the Wald, December 10th (4:00 to 9:00) and 11th (5:00 to 9:00) on Pleasant Avenue in Lindenwald with live music, vendors, food and fun. On the 11th during Joy To The Wald (11:00 to 3:00), there is free hot chocolate and every child that attends gets a free gift! December 10th (5:00pm - 9:00pm) is Stocking Up Sip & Shop in Downtown Hamilton. Stock up on those unique gifts from local retailers while exploring the DORA! Looking for a more sophistica­ted way to celebrate? The Butler Philharmon­ic Orchestra and Chorus will present its annual Holiday Pops Concert at 7:30 p.m., Dec. 11 at Parrish Auditorium. The featured vocal soloist Kelly MacKenzie-Thurley has been on the voice faculty at NKU’s School of Arts for six years, and runs voice studios in Sydney, London and Cincinnati. Appealing to all ages, the concert will feature songs from “The Polar Express,” “Home Alone” and “The Nutcracker,” as well as classics such as “Sleigh Ride” and “Jingle Bells.” December 18th is “That’s a Wrap” in Hamilton to pick up last minute gift items with free gift wrapping all day in the downtown area. During the entire season you just can’t miss Journey Borealis at Pyramid Hill! This spectacula­r light show will dazzle and amaze the Scrooge out of anyone and best of all, it is free to Hamilton residents every Tuesday with proof of residency.
