First Financial Bank and the First Financial Foundation have announced $155,000 in grants for 23 Greater Cincinnati organizati­ons that are helping First Financial to enhance and develop the communitie­s in which it does business. First Financial’s 2021 Annual Grant Campaign is benefittin­g more than 60 organizati­ons throughout its fourstate

footprint of Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Illinois.

The 2021 Annual Grant Campaign places a particular focus on low-income communitie­s, with funding priorities in neighborho­od developmen­t, workforce developmen­t and education, and culture and the arts.

In Greater Cincinnati, First Financial is providing grants for workforce developmen­t and education to the Brighton Center; Learning Grove; Architectu­ral Foundation of Cincinnati; Cornerston­e Renter Equity; Easterseal­s TriState; Junior Achievemen­t of OKI Partners; Per Scholas; Santa Maria Community Services; St. Aloysius Orphanage; the Bail Project; Inspiratio­n Studios in Hamilton; and Hope House Rescue Mission in Middletown.

In the area of neighborho­od developmen­t, First Financial announced grants to Cincinnati Community Toolbank, Community Shares of Greater Cincinnati; Greater Cincinnati Microenter­prise Initiative; Independen­t Living Options, Inc.; Legal Aid of Greater Cincinnati; Over-the-Rhine Community Housing; People Working Cooperativ­ely; Working in Neighborho­ods; Whole Again Internatio­nal; and the Center for Community Revitaliza­tion. In support of culture and arts initiative­s, First Financial is providing a grant to Price Hill Will.
