96th annual Strawberry Festival

Shandon will hold their 96th annual old fashioned Strawberry Festival from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. June 10 in downtown Shandon.

Dinner will be served by The Shandon Congregati­onal Church, from noon to 5 p.m. at the Community House. Homemade strawberry shortcake and ice cream will be available. Food and refreshmen­ts will be available at the old Fire House from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Outdoor vendors and artists will have their booths open from 10 a.m. in the village and in the field by the old firehouse. The local shops will be open all day for country crafts, original art, pottery and antiques. The 17th Annual Antique Tractor show exhibits will be behind the old firehouse with a parade planned to start at 1 p.m. For more informatio­n, call 513-313-3034.

There will be organ music in the community house and an opportunit­y to explore the old Welsh cemetery.

The Salty Dog Museum will be open during the festival featuring an antique and classic car show. A ride on an antique fire engine will be available between the museum and downtown Shandon. The Salty Dog Museum and Ron’s Machine Shop will be hosting a free cruise-in for antique and classic cars.

Morgan Twp. Fire Dept. will be on hand providing community safety and emergency preparedne­ss informatio­n, blood pressure checks and an emergency equipment display.

The Morgan Twp. Historical Society Museum will be open from noon to 4 p.m. at 6464

Okeana Drewersbur­g Road.
