Oxford DAR to host workshop Saturday
The United States will be celebrating its 250th anniversary in 2026. The Oxford Caroline Scott Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) invites the public to a workshop to help a person discover their revolutionary roots. The workshop will be held from 2-4 p.m. Saturday at Oxford Lane Library, Havighurst Room (2nd Floor), 441 S. Locust St.
Oxford Caroline Scott Chapter Registrar, Alison Haskins will present “How to Find a Provable Patriot In 90 Minutes (Or Less).” Her presentation draws from proven techniques of experienced DAR registrars. Combining Ancestry. com, with DAR’s Genealogical Research System (GRS), she will demonstrate how to find a Revolutionary War relative in your family tree.
Bring your laptop or tablet and practice online after the presentation beginning with a 5-generation pedigree chart and one of your eight great-grandparents.
This event is free and open to the public.
