Devi Kroell—who recently launched the chic eyewear line Dax Gabler—designs her most fabulous day out East.
“I start my day with a private session at home with Ariel or Jhall from AKT in Motion (3 Railroad Ave., East Hampton, 631-5275447; aktinmotion.com). I started my routine with them over a year ago in the city, and am hooked.
“After getting ready, we head to Candy Kitchen (2391 Montauk Hwy., Bridgehampton, 631-5379885), where I indulge in my second breakfast of scrambled eggs with bacon and buttered toast. I love this little diner; it’s quintessential Hamptons.
“Next, we drive to Sag Harbor. My daughter, Kiki, loves the bookstore there, Harbor Books (20 Main St., Sag Harbor, 631-8083401; harborbookssgh.com), and we choose our afternoon read. We then drop by Cavaniola’s (89 Division St., Sag Harbor, 631-7250095; cavaniolas.com) to stock up on some cheese and comfort foods with a twist.
“Back home, we grab our Martone Cycling (English Country Antiques, 26 Snake Hollow Road, Bridgehampton, 631-537-0606; martone cycling.com) bikes and head to our beach at the end of Old Town Road in Southampton, where we take a leisurely stroll. “By the end of it, we are famished and ready for a late lunch at Sant Ambroeus (30 N. Main St., Southampton, 631-283-1233; santambroeus.com). Kiki loves their gelato and grabs a cone before leaving.
“Back home, it’s time for some ‘me time,’ relaxing by the pool, and the odd nap and reading in the hammock. Dinner is late, with many friends, at Jean-georges at Topping Rose House (1 Bridgehampton-sag Harbor Tpk., Bridgehampton, 631-537-0870; toppingrose house.com).
