HADASSAH

On August 7, at Oceanbleu overlooking the dunes in Westhampton Beach, Hamptons magazine Publisher Debra Halpert was honored by the Pioneer Chapter of Hadassah at its 22nd annual Woman of the Year fundraising luncheon. Twenty-two years ago, Halpert cofounded the Pioneer Chapter, and 10 of the original signers of the charter were in attendance. It was a full day, with boutiques chaired by Brenda Ostreicher; silent auctions and raffles chaired by Sandi Gross, Linda Pearlman, Harriette Gilbert, and Candy Volkommer; a fashion show by Worth NY; a sumptuous three-course lunch by Regal Caterers; goodie bags chaired by Elaine Schickman; and an award presentation to Halpert. Kudos to overall chairs Elisa Greenbaum, Elaine Bernstein, and Lorraine Richter and the entire committee, as a record sum was raised for Hadassah.
