TikTok is Beta Testing a New Monetization Option in the US: THE CREATIVITY PROGRAM
YouTube isn’t the only site upping its game in the monetization department. TikTok is also stepping up to the plate with their Creativity Program Beta. Right now the program is still in the testing phase and is therefore inviteonly, but later it will become available to all US creators who are over 18 and meet the program’s minimum follower and view counts.
The Creativity Program aims to help improve influencer’s video performance metrics by giving them access to more detailed analytics on videos and unlocking realworld opportunities to eligible creators. The Creativity Program Beta aims to harmonize with the already existing TikTok Creator Fund, allowing creators to choose which program is most beneficial for them so long as they are eligible.
Because the TikTok Creator Fund has been around longer, it currently has fewer restrictions and it is open to creators from various countries. Along with its less restrictive enrollment requirements, The Creator Fund also has different earning opportunities to what the Creativity Program will provide.
The Creator Fund pays based on views and engagement while the new Creativity Program aims to provide options for higher revenue and more real-world opportunities. As this new program is unrolled, it will also have greater enrollment restrictions. In order to earn, creators must publish regularly and meet TikTok’s standard of high-quality, original content that is no longer than a minute long. Conversely, the Creator Fund asks for original content with fewer quality requirements and no time restrictions.
