Bellamy, Union Blitz Coast Guard

Will Bellamy completed 39 of 52 passes for 365 yards and three touchdowns, all to Andre Ross Jr., to lead Union to a 28-10 win over Coast Guard at New London. Ross made 16 catches for 215 yards.

Union (2-0) led 21-3 at the half. Ryan Jones of Coast Guard (1-1) was intercepted three times, completing 19 of 33 passes for 215 yards, with Justin Moffatt catching 11 balls for 106 yards.

New Haven 36, Pace 10: Ajee Patterson threw for 305 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another score as the Chargers won at Pleasantville, N.Y. Ryan McCarthy gained a seasonhigh 90 yards on 10 carries, including a 50-yard rush, for UNH (1-1 overall, 1-0 Northeast-10 Conference). Jordan Francklin collected 10 tackles, two for losses, and made an interception to lead UNH's defense. Pace is 1-1, 0-1.

Sacred Heart 30, Bucknell 14: At Lewisburg, Pa., Kevin Duke threw for a touchdown and ran for another in Sacred Heart's win. Duke had 138 yards passing and 104 rushing for the Pioneers (2-0). Jordan Meachum ran for 178 yards and a touchdown on 28 carries. Martin Gustafsson and Na- than Balthazard each caught a scoring pass and Josh Freiria kicked a 30-yard field goal. The Bison are 0-2.

Western Connecticut 33, Dean College 22: At Franklin, Mass., Western scored 20 straight points spanning the third and fourth quarters, erasing a deficit and breaking open a close non-league game. The Colonial defense was stout, holding a Dean squad that racked up 427 yards a week ago to just 151 yards of total offense and 3-for-17 on third down conversions. Khalil Patterson, from Hartford, ran for 124 yards on 22 carries and scored twice for Western (1-0). Dean is 1-1.
