Coventry Co-Op Rallies To Victory At Ellington
The co-op of Coventry, Windham Tech, Bolton and Lyman Memorial overcame a two touchdown deficit to win at Ellington 20-17 in a Pequot interdivision game Saturday. Nathan Schneider and Jeremy Davis scored on first-half runs for Ellington (0-2). But Devin Grover hit Kaleb Carlson for two passing TDs in the third for Coventry (2-0). Davis had 16 carries for 153 yards for Ellington.
Maloney 38, Hartford Public 0: Elliot Good threw two TD passes as Maloney won at Hartford Public in a CCC interdivision game. James Tarver opened the scoring with a 4-yard run and also scored on a 45-yard interception return in the second. Jaylon Nixon and Victor Marquez caught Good’s TD passes, and Quanell Grimes caught a 56-yard pass from Kameron Hartenstein to finish the scoring for Maloney (2-0). For Hartford Public (0-2), Jermaine Jones had 16 carriers for 105 yards.
Granby 20, Windsor Locks/Suffield/East Granby 0: Jackson Rome ran for a TD and hit Dylan Disabella and Conor Hogan on TD passes as Granby won a Pequot interdivision game in Windsor Locks. Garrett Strain added 64 yards on the groundfor Granby (1-1). Windsor Locks is 0-1.
Haddam-Killingworth 30, Coginchaug/HaleRay/East Hampton 6: Zach Kauffman ran for two TDs and Dalton Brown hauled in two interceptions as Haddam-Killingworth topped the Coginchaug co-op in Pequot Sassacus action. Dalont Modehn and Tobey Callender also scored TDs for H-K.
Cheshire Academy 38, Worcester Academy 12: Jack Brandon threw four TD passes as Cheshire Academy beat Worcester Academy at home. Andre Carter caught two of Brandon’s TD passes, and Jared Martino also caught a TD pass and added a score on the ground. Jay LaRosa connected on a 35-yard field goal in the fourth for Cheshire (1-1). For Worcester (0-1), Asa Floyd found with Nico Cavaliere and Zukudo Igwenagu for TD passes.
