UConn Field Hockey Team Wins Big East Opener

Cecile Piper scored two goals and added two assists as the No. 2-ranked UConn field hockey team opened Big East Conference play with an 8-0 win over visiting Quinnipiac on Saturday in Storrs. Svea Boker scored two goals with an assist for the Huskies (7-0, 1-0 conference). Cheyenne Sprecher posted her fourth shutout of the season. The Bobcats fall to 2-4 and 0-1.
