Carol (Topolski) Glynn of Farmington, CT passed peacefully on February 3, 2021. In 1964 Carol married her best friend and soul mate, Richard Glynn. Together they celebrated over 56 wonderful years of marriage. Their togetherness and care for one another defines the words “True Love”.

Carol was born in Hartford, CT to her late parents, Louis & Helen Toploski of West Hartford in 1942. Carol graduated from Conard High School of West Hartford and continued her studies at Mount Ida College in MA graduating as a medical technologist. For over 28 years Carol was employed by the University of Connecticut Health Center in Farmington, CT, retiring in 2007.

In our hearts you'll always be there, with love from Carol's daughter Terri Santa Maria & John Santa Maria of West Hartford and Carol's son Ricky Glynn of Farmington. From heaven Carol will look upon her beloved granddaughters -Victoria Santa Maria, Laura Glynn & Samantha Glynn.

Remembered every day by her sister Elizabeth Richton & Arthur Richton of Longmeadow, MA and her Friend & Sister-in-law, Alice Steere of Simsbury, CT. Carol will be missed dearly by her loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and a host of long-time friends.

Carol also leaves behind her “fur buddies”, Mandy and Hunter. Carol and her husband Richard shared their home with many pets during their 56 year marriage. Her dog Murphy, Carol's buddy passed only months prior to Carol.

Carol took pride in everything she did. She enjoyed cooking family dinners especially during the holidays. Whenever you entered Carol and Richard's home you always felt a sense of welcoming and warmth. Every area of their home is special as Carol's essence is in every room, a home she shared with her husband Richard, the love of her life. Carol had a talent of knitting and crocheting. Whenever a family member asked for a sweater (her Irish knit sweaters were beautiful), hat, scarf, anything created with knitting needles or crochet hooks, Carol's creations were a piece of art. Both Carol and Richard loved to travel together. Their family vacation trips to Cape Cod were first experienced with their children during the summer. As a family they spent days at the beach, would go clamming, collecting shells, bicycling, and loved visiting all the shops around the different towns on the Cape. Carol and Richard later would visit the Cape together for many years staying at the same home with their dogs. In the Fall they would vacation in Kennebunkport, ME, another place where their dogs were welcomed. Special vacation trips Carol and Richard enjoyed together were their visits to Bermuda, Hawaii, and took many cruises on different cruise lines.

Richard and his children will receive family and friends on Monday, February 15th at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main Street, Route 4, Unionville, CT from 6 - 8 p.m. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated the following day, Tuesday, February 16th at 10:00 a.m., in the Church of St. Mary Star of the Sea, 145 Main Street, Unionville, CT.
