Carlton Vincent Nichols, 70, of Bloomfield, CT, passed away peacefully on Thursday February 11, 2021 at Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT. He was born and raised in Jamaica, West Indies. Carlton Received special training at The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and served in the Jamaican military. Carlton emigrated to the United States in 1980 and worked for Konica as an accountant until his retirement. During his career at Konica, he won many awards for being an exemplary employee. He also had a part-time job in security for American Airlines. Carlton was a loving brother, father, grandfathe­r and uncle. He loved to travel, watch track and field events, garden and was a multi genre music enthusiast and collector. Before being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, Carlton was known to run 5miles per day in rain, sleet or snow.

He is survived by his children, Chery Nichols, Semone Nichols, Karl Nichols and Ryan Nichols; his sisters, Ulanda Tate and family, Delphena Lyons and family, Ena Nichols, Zeti Nichols and family and Vena McDonald and family; his brother Weston Nichols and family; grandchild­ren Cadena, Theodore, Vincent and Maverick; his great grandchild­ren Donoiya, Cassie and Caje; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Altum and Vivena Nichols, and his sister Olive Stanford.

Going home services will be live streamed on Wednesday February 24, 2021. Viewing at 10:00 a.m., Service 10:30 a.m. at The Lodge, 130 Deerfield Rd, Windsor, CT 06095. Interment immediatel­y following at Mount Saint Benedict Cemetery, Cottage Grove Rd, Bloomfield, CT.
