Georgetown gets past Seton Hall 81-75

Jamorko Pickett had a season-high 20 points as Georgetown topped Seton Hall 81-75 on Saturday in Washington.

Chudier Bile had 16 points for Georgetown (7-10, 5-7 Big East Conference). Dante Harris added 14 points, eight assists and seven rebounds. Donald Carey had 11 points.

Sandro Mamukelash­vili had 22 points for the Pirates (13-9, 10-6), whose four-game winning streak was broken. Shavar Reynolds Jr. added 13 points. Tyrese Samuel had seven rebounds. Ike Obiagu had six points and five blocks.

The Hoyas leveled the season series against the Pirates with the win. Seton Hall defeated Georgetown 78-67 on Dec. 23.

Syracuse 75, Notre Dame 67: At Syracuse, N.Y., Buddy Boeheim scored a career-high 29 points with six 3-pointers and Syracuse rallied from a 20-point second-half deficit.

Trailing 55-35 with 16:49 left, Syracuse outscored the Fighting Irish 40-12 the rest of the way to win its third straight game and reinforce its NCAA Tournament resume.

Boeheim made 10 of 19 from the field, including 6 of 10 from the arc that gave him 182 in his career, moving him into 10th place in Syracuse history. Twenty of his points came in the second half. Marek Dolezaj added 18 points and Quincy Guerrier grabbed 14 rebounds to go with nine points for the Orange (13-6, 7-5 Atlantic Coast Conference)

Notre Dame (9-11, 6-8) built a 19-point lead late in the first half before going into break ahead 46-32 after shooting 54.5%, including 7 of 14 from the arc, But in the second half, the Irish fell off to 32%, made just 5 of 17 3-point tries and committed eight of their 10 turnovers.
