Alouise Maria Pelletier was born in Belfast, Maine on August 14, 1941. She transitioned peacefully on March 13, 2021 with her life partner of 36 years, Jim Read, by her side.
Alouise was the oldest of four children of Veronica and Gregory Ruffy. She grew up in Maine and Hartford, Connecticut, graduated from Bulkeley High School and had a very successful career with American Airlines, enabling her to travel the world.
Alouise was a woman of grace and style, a talented potter who enriched every aspect of life with her creativity, a fabulous cook hosting many events for family and friends, loved to dance, sing the oldies and reminisce about her experiences at Woodstock in 1969 and was very proud of her Hungarian heritage.
Alousie was predeceased by her parents and is survived by her life partner Jim Read, daughter Dina "Lauren" Pelletier and her husband Mitch Kennedy, brother Stephen Ruffy (fiancée Diane DePalma), sister Melissa Stachelek, brother Gregory (Jeanne) Ruffy and many cherished nieces, nephews and friends.
Per her wishes there are no calling hours.
