Blomquist, Frances R. (Hamill)

Frances R. Blomquist, 85, of Simsbury died on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 at the McLean Home. She was born December 12, 1935 in Worcester, MA to the late Edgar J. and Ruth (Bennett) Hamill. She resided in Windsor Locks with her beloved husband Donald until his passing in 2016. She was very active in the community with the Windsor Locks Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary, Windsor Locks Senior Center Quilting Club and Windsor Locks Congregational Church Sunday School Teacher. She was a dress maker and enjoyed making wedding cakes. She retired from Combustion Engineering. She was a parishioner at East Granby Congregational Church. Frances is survived by her children; Steven Blomquist, Sr. and his wife Pamela of New Hartford, Karen Rhodes of East Granby and Alan Blomquist and his wife Laurie of East Granby; her grandchildren, Steven Blomquist Jr, and his wife Megan, Lauren Noujaim and her husband Nemer, Courtney Blomquist and Samuel Rhodes; her great grandchildren, Natalie, Owen, Hunter and Melanie.
