Cato, Julianne M.

-

Julianne M. Cato, 55, of West Hartford and Bloomfield, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, August 21, 2021. Julie was born on July 25, 1966, one of three children to

Judith A. (Davine) Joseph.

Julie grew up in Bloomfield, and graduated Bloomfield High School with the Class of 1984. After graduation, Julie went on to earn her bachelor's degree from Central Connecticut State University in early childhood education. Julie worked as a pre-school teacher at and was a devoted member of the First Congregational Church in Bloomfield for over 30 years. Her love for children grew as the years went on with her dedication to the church and school. Julie and her mother volunteered with “Loaves & Fishes". Julie was a very creative individual who loved to paint, draw, craft, quilt, knit and sew. Julie had an immense admiration for flowers, tending to her floral and herb gardens regularly and received many compliments on the dishes she made with her own herbs. Julie's kind, caring and loving personality truly leaves a void in her family's hearts that will be difficult to fill.

In addition to her mother Judith, Julie is survived by her father, Herbert Cato; sister Sharon Cato and her children, Kyle and Lindsey; her two aunts, Betty McCrae and Pat Bellows with her husband Don, as well as many close and dear friends. Julie was predeceased by her brother, Herbert Cato, her maternal grandmother, Matilda Davine, and her paternal grandparents Emma and Herbert Cato.

In lieu of flowers, please send donations to St. Jude's

Children's Hospital.

A memorial service will be held at First Congregational Church of Bloomfield on Sunday September 5th, 2021 at 2pm with reception to follow.
