-

Dorothy (Bunny) Giamatti, 91 of Newington Ct, and longtime resident of Venture-Out Cudjoe Key Florida, passed away suddenly & peacefully in her sleep Aug 21, 2021. Bunny was born on Jan 3, 1930 in Hartford Ct. She was predeceased by her loving husband Lawrence (Muzzy) Giamatti, and her 2 sons, James Watkins & Michael Watkins. Bunny was survived by her daughter Lucy Kinnane & husband Tom Kinnane of Newington Ct., and her son Nicholas Giamatti & wife Debbi Giamatti of Big Pine Key Florida. Bunny was blessed with 2 Grandchildren & 4 Great-Grandchildren. No one knew her as Dorothy, only as Bunny, for all of her 91 years! Bunny viewed the world with pure innocence, and through rose-colored-glasses. She was absolutely hilarious, a fun loving, social butterfly who made everyone she ever met, smile & laugh! As a teenager she enjoyed performing Acrobatic Roller Skating at her father's Skating Rink. Bunny worked at the VA Administration in Hartford, and also enjoyed a career in Hairdressing, and later as Receptionist at Wilfred Academy of Hairdressing in Hartford. She routinely rode shot-gun in her husband Muzzy's wrecker, when he was Towing Cars for the City of Hartford. Bunny cherished and truly enjoyed her peaceful & serene Florida Keys island lifestyle. She enjoyed cruising around in golf cart with her best friend, being mischievous, and getting into all kinds of shenanigans. She was an avid member & volunteer of St Peters Church on Big Pine Key in the Florida Keys. Due to travel health safety restrictions, services are to be announced at a later date.
