Dr. Donald Leo Piccoli 71, of Madison, Ct. passed away on August 19, 2021 in St. Petersburg Florida. Born in New Britain Connecticu­t on February 4, 1950, the beloved son of the late Leo J. and Rose M. (Rossi) Piccoli. He attended local schools and graduated from the Life Chiropract­ic College of Marietta, Georgia. Dr. Don had practiced in the towns of New Britain and Kensington. Don had a love for the sea, spending summers at the family cottage in his younger years, countless hours on his sailboat with his sailing buddy Wayne, fishing, clamming, or just spending time on the beach. He loved all genres of music, especially Jazz and Rock. He was also known as a masterful chef creating recipes influenced by his Italian ancestors, his trips to Italy and especially the knowledge and the input from his father. Don was proud that he was able to complete one of the last items on his bucket list which was embarking on the pilgrimage of the Camino de Santiago in Spain. He joined an internatio­nal assembly of persons living with acute and chronic illness in which he found great support and comfort during his illness. He will be deeply missed by his family and his many friends. Don is survived by his brother John and his wife Elaine, his brother-in-law, Walter Cross, his nephew Jeffrey Piccoli and his children Sara and John, his niece Wendy Steeves and husband Brett and their children Taylor and Paige, many cousins, their spouses and children. He was predecease­d by his sister Marie Piccoli, who he missed dearly. The family would also like to thank his cherished friends Wayne and Sharon Mariner, Mark and Mary Ellen Levenberge­r, June Petillo and Donna Mowel. Family and friends are invited to a prayerful celebratio­n of Don's life that will be held at the Meigs Point Pavilion, Hammonasse­t Beach, Madison on September 17th, 2021 at 9am as Don wished.
