Doyle, Carolyn F. (Fletcher)

Carolyn F. (Fletcher) Doyle, 80, of Windsor, passed away on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, surrounded by her family. Carolyn was born on February 8, 1941, in Lewisburg, PA, daughter to the late George and Helen (Roush) Fletcher.

Carolyn was raised in Middleburg, Pennsylvania and was a graduate of the Middleburg High School, Class of 1958. After high school, Carolyn went on to receive her bachelor's degree from the Bloomsburg State Teachers College where she graduated in 1962. During her college years, Carolyn would spend the summers months in Windsor where she worked in the tobacco fields as a straw boss. After graduation she relocated to Windsor accepting a position as a middle school teacher with the Windsor Public Schools. She spent the next 35 years teaching English and Social Studies to seventh & eight graders. Many of those years were at Sage Park Middle School. Carolyn was an avid reader, who loved all different genres and authors. She was also a wealth of knowledge when it came to history. Carolyn was also quite the storyteller. She always had a story to tell no matter what the situation or topic. Family and friends were very important to Carolyn and she loved spending time with them. She always looked forward to afternoons with her grandnieces shopping and going to lunch. Carolyn was a member of the Windsor Historical Society and the First Church in Windsor.

Carolyn is survived by her brother, Paul Fletcher and his wife Kathy of Hopedale, MA; her sister Jane Bell and her husband Bob of Windsor, CT; her nephew Thomas Daleb and his wife Candace of NC, her nephew Keith Daleb and his wife Kathy of Granby, CT, her niece Rebecca Daleb and her boyfriend Rob Pearce of Myrtle Beach, SC, her nephew Scott Fletcher and his fiancée Jessica Della Valle of SC and Todd Fletcher and his wife Christa of MA as well as her two grandnieces Samantha Daleb and her fiancé Alex Massey of Middletown, CT,

and Caitlin Daleb of Boston, MA.

A celebration of life for Carolyn will be held on Saturday, October 9, 2021, at 11 a.m. at the First Church in Windsor, 107 Palisado Ave., Windsor. Burial will follow in Palisado Cemetery, Windsor. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations
