Robert (Bobby) William Kimball, age 83, of East Hartford, CT, passed away October 9, 2021, at Hartford Hospital. Bobby was born August 29, 1938, of Hartford CT, the oldest of ten. He owned and operated R.W. Kimball Sheet Metal Fabricators for over fifty years. Bobby was a member

of the CT National Guard in his twenties. He was a natural athlete and enjoyed playing sports in school as a youth, and he picked up golf in his thirties, eventually achieving an ace. He was a lifelong fan of the Red Sox and was cheering them on the very day before he died. He enjoyed picking his horses and watching the races on TV. We will miss him telling us stories of his youth. We'll miss his beautiful baritone voice for singing, which he did often. He was an avid outdoorsman. Many family members and friends can recount stories of time spent with him on

his boat fishing or deer hunting in the woods of CT. He spent hours on his property tending to tree management and cutting firewood for his home and often helped family and friends with theirs. He was instrumental in organizing and supplying Venison Cook-In's for the Blinded Veterans Association. He organized Hunter Safety courses, and taught compassionate hunting, conservation, and responsible gun safety. He was very passionate about handgun safety and gave thorough hands-on lessons. He will be remembered for his humor and no-nonsense way of looking at the world. Left to mourn, are his loving wife Judith, and his children; Margaret Hill (and husband Richard), Teri Craig, Roberta Kimball, Henry “Hank” Kimball, Cheryl Martinez (and husband Joel), Josie Robertson (and husband Scott), Leonard Kimball, Jessie Kimball (and husband James Dugan). Robert leaves behind fifteen grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, siblings, a dear cousin “brother Al”, extended family, and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Marion and William, his brother Raymond and wife Angela, and sons Bobby Jr., Roger, Jack, Tyler, and great-grandchild Griffyn. In the spirit of a man who believed in helping others, “pass it on.”
