Norma Jean (Sautner) Kenneson, 88, of Rocky Hill, devoted wife, mother, grandmothe­r and great-grandmothe­r, passed away peacefully on October 11, 2021 surrounded by family. Norma was born in Hartford on August 5, 1933, the daughter of the late William and Olive (Modeen) Sautner. She was predecease­d by her beloved husband of 63 years, Coburn Kenneson. Norma retired from the Rocky Hill Board of Education in 2003 after over 30 years of employment, with most of the years spent at Myrtle H. Stevens Elementary School. Norma loved being with her family and also enjoyed gardening, cooking, playing cards and going to church. She was known for her generosity and always putting others before herself. Norma is survived by her four children, Steven Kenneson and his wife Doreen of Newington, Susan Wynne of Hebron, Philip Kenneson and his wife Shelly of Madison, Amy Morin and her husband Christophe­r of League City, Texas; her seven grandchild­ren whom she cherished, Lauren (Kenneson) Thorner, Molly (Kenneson) Shumway, Patrick and Casey Wynne, Jessica (Kenneson) Benivegna, Nicole Kenneson, and Troy Morin; her four great-grandchild­ren, Jack, Kendall, and Brooke Thorner, Hudson Shumway; her brother, Bill Sautner, her sister Linda Caesar and her husband James; her nephews Will Sautner and Christophe­r J. Caesar; her niece Lorraine Sautner; and special friends Susan Kennedy, Cecelia Hinchey, Jane Anthony, and Jane Gregg. Her family would like to thank the staff at Atria Greenridge Place in Rocky Hill for the loving care they provided Norma while she was at her “home away from home.” Funeral Services were held privately.
