Boos, Carol (Huszar)

Carol (Huszar) Boos, 82, passed away from complications of Alzheimer's disease on January 29, 2023 at Anthology of Farmington. Carol was born to the late Charles and Eva Huszar of North White Plains, New York on September 4, 1940. She graduated from White Plains High School and the University of Illinois, majoring in Art Education. She taught art and art history in New City, NY and Bristol, CT. Carol was an avid golfer and spent many years playing in the Ladies leagues at The Country Club of Farmington. She was a very creative craft person especially in raphia dolls and enjoyed years of autumn craft fairs. Carol enjoyed flower gardening and needlepoint, stitching more than 100 canvases. Her greatest passion was her five grandchildren.

Carol was preceded in death by her sister Laura Cleary of Bristol, CT. She leaves behind her husband Charles, her daughter and son-in-law, Heidi and Peter Savino and her son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Jenipher Boos all of Avon. She leaves her grandchildren, Emily and Nicholas Savino, Megan (Jack) Kostal, Kathryn Boos and Derek Boos as well as her niece, Michele Cleary of Collinsville.

Private interment will be in Kensico Cemetery in Valhalla, NY at the convenience of the family. There will be a celebration of life in the spring.
