Ramsundar, Rev. Daniel

Rev. Daniel Arthur Ramsundar, of Cromwell, husband of Christl (Aichele) Ramsundar for 23 years, passed away on February 4, 2023, at Middlesex Hospital. He was born in East Bank Demerara Guyana South America on January 23, 1939.

Daniel has lived in Cromwell for over 25 years. He was a member of Victory Church where he was known as the Candyman and also founded the Prison Family Outreach Ministry. Daniel served as an usher for the Hartford Chapter of the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship. He loved baseball, cricket and to cook Caribbean Cuisine. Daniel had a favorite saying he used all the time, “Praise the Lord”. Along with his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Anita Ramsundar of Hartford; a step son, Juan Aichele and his wife Elizabeth of Berlin; a sister, Doreen Chad Allan of England; 6 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.

Daniel was predeceased by a brother, Robert Ramsundar and 3 sisters, Joyce Ravindranauth, Inez Ramsundar and Luna Lal.

Family and friends may call on Wednesday, February 15th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Cromwell Funeral Home, 506 Main Street, Cromwell. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 16th at 9:30 am at Victory Church, 191 Meriden Road, Middlefield. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
