Archibald, Donna Helen

- Please sign guestbook at courant.com/obituaries

Donna Helen (Lyttle) Archibald, also known as Donna Meo, The Donna, Mama Donna, Lady and Nana was born on January 23, 1951 and peacefully departed this life on January 29, 2023, after a brief battle with brain cancer. She was the beloved wife of the late Paul Archibald, amazing mother of Neil and Steve "Archie" Archibald, and a light to her brothers and sisters: Pat Lyttle, Cheryl Leblanc, Diane Ibanez, Kathy Marrone, Mary Ann Pugner, Brian Lyttle, Jeff Lyttle, Jim Lyttle and their partners, and many nieces and nephews. "Nana" was adored by grandson, Dylan Archibald, and she was a big fan of his too. Donna is also survived by her loving daughters-in-law, Sarah Archibald and Samantha Kay, as well as her companion, Tom Alexander. Donna was a Registered Nurse for over 40 years, graduating in the Class of 1971 at St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing in Waterbury, CT. An obituary is too short to capture such a human. She truly enjoyed life, was open to any and all adventures, and was a conduit of fun. Time spent with friends and family were her treasured moments, whether it was adventuring far away or playing a game at home. Her joy was palpable through her infectious laugh, she brought light and love into the room, and that light reached so many people throughout her years. She always made the best of her situations and tried to help others in theirs, even in her final days. She was a force of nature with the kindest and gentlest heart, and she will be missed immensely. If you listen hard enough, you may just hear her whisper in the wind, "all good things." The family will be holding private services to celebrate Donna's life. In lieu of flowers or gifts, please consider a donation to the National Brain Tumor Society (www.braintumor.org) in Donna's name. This organization has been a large part of Donna's advocacy work since her son, Steve "Archie", was diagnosed with brain cancer in 2011 and continues to carry the torch of HOPE. Leete-Stevens Enfield Chapels is assisting Donna's family. For online condolences, please visit leetestevens.com
