Bartlett, Daniel Clo

-

Daniel Clo Bartlett, 61, of Newington, left this earth peacefully on March 7, 2023, in the comfort of his home, surrounded by his loving wife and family. Dan was the dedicated husband of Paula (DeConinck) Bartlett for 31 years. Son of Doris “Doe” (BreVeglieri) Bartlett of Meriden and the late Edward P. Bartlett, Jr., he was born and raised in Meriden. A graduate of Xavier High School, he received a Bachelor of Science degree from Western New England University and a Master of Science degree from CCSU. For the past 28 years, he and Paula resided in Newington and summered at his family camp in Huntington, MA, on Lake Norwich.

An engineer by trade, Dan loved tinkering. You could find him puttering around in his garage daily, fixing anything and everything. He was an avid fisherman and knew all the best places for a big catch on his treasured Lake Norwich. Dan fiercely loved his entire family which was evident by the quality time he spent not only with his wife, and children but also his parents, brothers, sisters, in-laws and their families. He was the nucleus around which the family centered; his care for and dedication to the people he loved brightened the lives of all who knew him. His dogs held a special place in his heart; you could find him on summer weekends at the lake swimming with his dog, Buddy, on a hot afternoon.

Dan was an innovative and compassionate leader who loved his career. He touched many lives at the companies he worked at including Magnetec (Wallingford), Sargent Manufacturing (New Haven), Gerber Technology (Tolland), and most recently Economy Spring & Stamping in Southington. His enthusiasm for his work inspired those with whom he collaborated, and his empathetic leadership style empowered others to achieve their goals.

He was a devoted husband and father. Along with his wife Paula, he leaves his two children, Emma Clo Bartlett and her husband Christopher John Barbadoro, and Clara Fern Bartlett. He also leaves his brother Edward P. Bartlett, III, and his wife Denise, his sister Dale MacDonald and her husband Daniel, sister-in-law Elizabeth Bartlett, several nieces, and nephews, as well as his beloved dogs Buddy and Ginger. He was predeceased by his brother David J. Bartlett.

His family would like to thank all the medical professionals who cared for him throughout his journey, especially the Hartford Healthcare at Home Hospice team, who were extraordinary.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, March, 18, 2023, from 9:00 am to 11:30 am at Duksa Family Funeral Homes at Newington Memorial, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington. A Celebration of his Life will be held at 12:00 pm at Newington Memorial. He will be laid to rest privately in Saint Thomas Cemetery, Huntington, MA.
