Regina A. (Fortin) “Reggie” Caron, 74 of South Windsor, beloved wife of Eldon J. Caron died peacefully on Monday, April 10, 2023, at home surrounded by her family. Reggie was born in Waterville, ME, on June 15, 1948, daughter of the late Wilfred F. and Therese (Vashon) Fortin. She grew up in South Windsor and was a graduate of South Windsor High School. Reggie went on to earn a degree in nursing from Greenfield Community College with the Class of 1973. Reggie worked as a Registered Nurse at Manchester Hospital, and UConn Health in Farmington, CT for many years. She was a parishione­r of St. Margaret Mary Church in South Windsor. Reggie enjoyed quilting, sewing, bowling, gardening, and caring for many indoor plants and her four-legged pets. Along with her husband of over 42 years, Eldon, of South Windsor, she leaves her brothers, George Fortin and his wife Deborah of Vernon, and Peter Fortin and his wife Lorene of Tolland; her sisterin-law, Carol Fortin Pellerin of Coventry; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was predecease­d by her sister, Rita Fortin, and her brother, Neil Fortin. Service and burial will be private at the request of her family.
