Regina Eleanor (Sobuta) Gourley, born October 10, 1930, passed away at home on Friday, April 21, 2023 in Suffield. She was born in Hartford, the daughter of the late John Sobuta and Rose (Saphowski) Sobuta. She was predecease­d by her brothers Henry and Leon. She was a resident of Stuart, FL for a number of years where she enjoyed membership in the Anchor Line Yacht Club. In the summer of 2018 Regina returned to Connecticu­t to be with her family. She was a graduate of the Class of 1948 of William Hall High School in West Hartford. During high school she enjoyed the Hartford Squadron of the Civil Air Patrol where she met the love of her life of 65 years, Weston James Gourley who predecease­d her. For many years she was a choir member of St. Andrew's and then St. Stephens Church in Bloomfield. After 20 years in 1987 she retired as a bookkeeper from the Episcopal Diocese of Connecticu­t. Her particular interest in retirement was cruising with her husband, having enjoyed two world cruises and numerous other short cruises. She is survived by her son, Christophe­r and his wife, Donna, her son, Scott, her daughter, Teri and her partner Larry Pelletier; granddaugh­ters, Tera Harlow and Kristin Tronsky, and much loved great granddaugh­ters, Allison, Elle, and Ava.
