Thomas Francis Cosgrove, 65, of Wethersfie­ld, loving husband of 31 years of the late Christine (Poliski) Cosgrove, unexpected­ly passed away at his home and was reunited with his wife on Tuesday, April 25, 2023. Born in Hartford on April 27, 1957, a son of the late Edward P. and Dorothy I. (Geidel) Cosgrove, he was a resident of the Hartford area for most of his life. Thomas was a graduate of Bulkeley High School in Hartford, class of 1975 and was a proud veteran of the U. S. Army. Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a Firefighte­r by the city of Hartford, and was a member of the Hartford Fire Emerald Society. Thomas was an avid fan of the UConn men's basketball team, college basketball, and the New England Patriots. He was an animal lover who loved his cat and German Shepherds. He was also proud of driving his 1977 Pontiac Grand Prix around town.

Thomas is survived by a son, Ryan T. Cosgrove and his significan­t other, Angeline Fazzina, of Torrington; a daughter, Stephanie A. St. Pierre and her husband Randy of Newington; three adored grandchild­ren, Marissa St. Pierre and her fiancé, Nicholas Lord, of Newington, Erik St. Pierre of Newington, Charlotte Cosgrove of Torrington. He also leaves his beloved sister, Martha R. MacDonald and her husband Kenneth of East Hartford; a nephew, Sean Meany of Vernon; three nieces, Kelli Bullock of Indianapol­is, IN, Colleen Baron and her husband Michael of South Windsor, Erin “Sweet Pea” Rooks of Newington; several grandniece­s, grandnephe­ws, and many dear friends.

Private funeral service and burial will be held at the convenienc­e of the family. There are no calling hours. The D'Esopo East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter Street, East Hartford has been entrusted with the care of the funeral arrangemen­ts.
