Tesla most valuable automaker

-

In a trend that has left many valueoriented investors puzzled, Tesla’s stock price has continued its dramatic rise in recent months. As a result, two weeks ago Tesla became the world’s most valuable automaker, a position previously held by Toyota. Its value, based on its stock price of more than $1,100 a share, reached

$209 billion, or roughly $6 billion more than Toyota’s market value. That is also more than three times the value of General Motors and Ford Motor Company, combined. As for overall sales, Toyota sold more than 10 million vehicles last year. Tesla sold just over 367,000.
