-

Lordstown Motors has officially shown its battery-electric Endurance pickup truck for the first time in a ceremony held at its Lordstown, Ohio plant. Featured speakers included Vice President Mike Pence and Secretary of Energy Dan Brouillette. The Lordstown plant was previously owned by General Motors, which assembled the Chevrolet Cruze, a compact sedan, at the facility.

The first Endurance pickups will be sold to fleet buyers early next year, making the Endurance the first fully electric pickup truck to be sold commercially, according to Lordstown Motors. Individual buyers will start taking delivery late next year.

The starting price is $52,500 before tax credits. Towing capacity is expected to be 6,000 pounds.
