Bradley International Airport adds nonstop route to Nashville
Bradley International Airport will add a nonstop route in March to Nashville, with connections from there to destinations on the West Coast.
“This is a significant addition to our route network with an airline that has been an important partner at Bradley International Airport for more than 20 years,” Kevin A. Dillon, executive director of the Connecticut Airport Authority, whichoversees operations at Bradley. “WethankSouthwest for their continued vote of confidence in Bradley Airport and our market.”
The addition of the daily, nonstop route to Nashville International Airport comes just twoweeksafter JetBlue said it will add three, nonstop routes to the West Coast from Bradley and another to Cancún, Mexico.
Southwest will depart Bradley at 3 p.m. and arrive at 4:30 p.m., central standard time. Thereturning flight from Nashville is at 10:25 a.m. with arrival at Bradley at 2:05 p.m., eastern standard time.
According to the Southwest web site Thursday, the first day of booking a non-stop flight to Nashville is March11.
A one-way fare from Bradley was $138 in the “low fare” category.
“In addition to offering Music City as a nonstop Southwest destination from Bradley, the new service will provide convenient, one-stop destinations to over 40 other Southwest destinations currently served via Nashville International Airport,” said Brian Parrish, a Southwest spokesman.
Withtheaddition of Nashville, Southwest will have ten non-stop routes flying
out of Bradley. Three are currently active: Baltimore, Chicago and Orlando. These routes will resume as follows: Denver, on Jan. 5; Fort Lauderdale, on Jan. 9; Tampa, on Nov. 7; Fort Myers, on Jan. 3; St. Louis, on Jan. 3.
Flights to West Palm Beach from Bradley have not yet been rescheduled to resume.
