Kranmas, Deborah Jay (Zajack)
Deborah Jay Kranmas, 48, passed away peacefully at home on February 18, 2021 surrounded by her l oving f amily. She was born on February 12, 1973 in Hartford, CT, to Suzanne Johnson and Barry Zajack.
Debbie loved her Disney vacations, playing softball, camping, being with f r i ends and family and r elaxing on the beach. She was especially proud to be an educator at Wolcott Elementary School for the last 13 years and l oved all of her students as i f t hey were her own. Debbie was the girl who would set up her entire camp site f r om start t o f i nish all by herself. She was one of the strongest women who never showed weakness and f ought valiantly over the l ast 3 years with cancer. She was a force to be reckoned with and had tremendous willpower to fight even in the darkest of hours, to smile through the pain and made everyone around her feel comfortable even when she may not have been. She will be forever missed by her f amily and f r i ends.
Debbie is survived by her son, Christopher Kranmas and his fiancé Amber Kissell of West Hartford, CT; her daughter, Maya Kranmas of Austin, TX; her loving father and step-mother, Barry and Retha Zajack of Canton, CT; t hree sisters, Stacy Cerwin of Gurnee, I L, Michelle Donovan ( Gary) of Elli ngton, CT, Sarah Rice ( Jay) of West Hartford, CT and a brother, Harold Harris (Candace) of Simsbury, CT; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was a devoted “Auntie” to Brayden, Camden, Nicole, Olivia, Mikayla, Victoria, Matthew, Cameron and Alexis.
Debbie was preceded i n death by her l oving mother Suzanne Johnson; her maternal grandparents, Wilbert and Gladys Johnson and paternal grandparents Muriel and Victor Zajack.
A celebration of l i f e will be held at a f uture date as determined by the family.
