Bracket starts with triplehead­er March 10

The Big East revealed its bracket for its 2021 men’s basketball tournament, reconfigur­ed to accommodat­e UConn, the conference’s 11th team.

Play at Madison Square Garden in New York will begin with a triplehead­er on March 10. The No. 8 and 9 seeds play at 3 p.m. ET, followed by No. 10 vs. 7 at 6 p.m. ET and No. 11 vs. 6 at 9 p.m. ET. The final weeks of the season will be a scramble to finish in the top five and avoid a first-round game and the necessity to win four games in four days in order to emerge as the champion.

The quarterfin­als will be played on March 11. The No. 1 seed plays at noon ET. The No. 4 vs. 5 game will be played at at 3 p.m. ET, and the night session games will take place at at 6 p.m. (No. 2 seed) and 9 p.m. (No. 3).

The semifinals will be played on March 12 at 6 and 9 p.m. ET, and the championsh­ip game will take place March 13 at 6:30 p.m. ET on Fox. Games prior to the final will be televised by FS1.

Seton Hall onMarch3, andat home vs. Georgetown on March 6. With three wins, UConn could overtake Seton Hall (10-7) for the third seed. If the Huskies lose three, they could fall several spots and have to play a first-round game. Eachgame, starting with Marquette (6-10) who is coming off an upset in a nonconfere­nce game at North Carolina this week, could makeabig impact. As for the NCAA Tournament, the Huskies may need to win at least one game at The Garden, unless they win all three of their remaining regular-season games.
