Drezek, Edward R.

-

Edward R. Drezek, 86, of Plainville, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his family on Tuesday July 27, 2021.

He was the devoted husband of Jeanette (Seroczynski) Drezek, with whom he shared 64 years of marriage.

Born in Drezek Poland on October 7, 1934, Ed was one of twelve children to the late Stanley and Leocadia (Tanski) Drezek. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict; and returned home to New Britain upon being

honorably discharged. A longtime resident of New Britain and Plainville, Ed was a self-employed contractor and owned and operated several businesses

throughout his working years with a focus on plumbing, later expanding his trades alongside his sons. He retired from Drezek and Sons Contractors after more than 30 years of hard work and dedication. He enjoyed fishing and hosting lobster bakes for his family and friends. Remembered for his love for his family and his country, he leaves a legacy of hard work and dedication and many cherished memories.

In addition to his wife Jeanette, he leaves his beloved children, Donna Morrison of Plainville and Daniel Drezek of Bristol; his daughter-in-law Mari Tess Drezek; and was the proud Dziadzie to Ian Morrison (Kayla), Nick Drezek (Nicole), Shaun Drezek, Noelle Morrison, and Sabrina and Kristina Drezek; and leaves his greatgrandchildren Aeden and Liam Morrison, and Bentley Drezek. He also leaves his siblings, Jean Gnoza, Stella Okinczyk, Stanley Drezek (Mae), Henry Drezek (Grace),

Mary Olsen (Richard), and Eugene Drezek; along with many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his

son, Richard.

Ed's family extends their sincerest gratitude to nurses

and staff at Hartford Health Care, especially Nicole, and his aid Janet Forbes, for their compassionate care, support and comfort.
