Report: Messi to join PSG on 2-year deal

Lionel Messi began crying before he even started speaking.

It was time to say goodbye to Barcelona after more than two decades with the Catalan club.

“It still hasn’t sunk in that I’m leaving this club, that my life will be changing completely,” Messi said during his farewell news conference at the Camp Nou Stadium on Sunday. “This is very hard after ... being here my entire life.”

The 34-year-old forward didn’t speak specifical­ly about his future, but ESPN reported that Messi and French power Paris Saint-germain agreed to a two-year contract.

Golf: Abraham Ancer birdied the second playoff hole to beat Sam Burns and Masters champ Hideki Matsuyama to win the WGC Fedex-st. Jude Invitation­al in Memphis, Tennessee. It was the first career PGA Tour victory for the 30-year-old Ancer.

NFL: QB Peyton Manning was among the 2021 class inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio. John Lynch, Calvin Johnson, Charles Woodson and Alan Faneca were the other modernday players inducted.

Tennis: Italy’s Jannik Sinner became the first teenager to win an ATP 500 event, beating Mackie Mcdonald 7-5, 4-6, 7-5 to at the Citi Open title in Washington. Sinner, who turns 20 on Aug. 16, won his third ATP title and second this year.
