Bailey, Ralph P.
Ralph Philip Bailey, 85, of Simsbury and formerly of Windsor Locks, Enfield and Cape Coral, FL, entered into eternal rest on Friday, August 6, 2021 with his loving family at his side. He was the beloved husband of 64 years to the late Patricia Lindsay Bailey, (2017). Born Sept. 29, 1935 in Providence, RI to the late William and Yvonne (Mimeault) Bailey. Ralph was a proud U.S. Marine serving as a Sergeant and a devoted soldier of God. He was employed for many years in the retail bakery business until his retirement from Wonder Bread. Ralph was inducted into the CT Food Association's Hall of Fame. Family was most important to him especially his Patsy. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, gardening, playing cribbage and attending the many events of his grandchildren.
Ralph is survived by his children; Cindy Manning & husband Bill of Smyrna, GA, Scott Bailey & wife Jean of Somers, CT, Gayle Capezzone & husband Peter of Ivoryton, CT, Pamela Spica & husband Patrick of N. Granby, CT, his nine grandchildren: Kara (Kyle) Gibbons, John Capezzone, Matthew (Kala) Manning, Sara (Doug) Hersch, Jessica Bailey, Joe (Isabel) Bailey, Alexandria Spica, Taylor Spica and Anthony Spica, four greatgrandchildren Grayson & Noah Gibbons, Lola & Ruby Manning. He is also survived by his sister Janice (Pat) Panzarella and brother Jack (Joan) Bailey. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews and wonderful friends. He was also predeceased by his son Ralph Bailey, Jr. and two brothers Brian and William Bailey. Relatives and friends are invited to join his family on Thursday, August 12, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:00 am at St. Mary's Church, 942 Hopmeadow St. Simsbury, CT 06070, a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 am. Interment with military honors will take place at 10:00 am on Friday, August 13, 2021 at the Massachusetts Veteran's Memorial Cemetery, 1390 Main St. Agawam, MA.
