Bennett, Jacqueline Cecelia
Jacqueline Cecelia Bennett of Manchester passed away on July 13, 2021 with family by her side holding her hand. She was born March 27th in Windham, CT. The daughter of the late John F. and Cecelia Bennett, Sr., and the youngest of seven children. Jacqueline (Jackie) is a graduate of the University of
Connecticut and an award winning freelance journalist. Her work has been recognized with multiple Society of Professional Journalist Connecticut Chapter Awards for excellence in journalism. She recently authored a children's book, "The Dog No One Wanted".
Jackie was presented with a proclamation from the Town of Windsor for her integrity and honesty in her life and writing, and also a citation from the State of Connecticut in recognition of her journalism, reporting the unbiased truth and her personal integrity and positivity. These honors meant the world to her.
Jackie loved her family and friends. She loved Uconn, the Patriots, Cape Cod, reading, walks/hikes, photography and of course writing. She had many interest and shared so much with all of us.
Jackie is survived by two sisters, Dixie-sue Bennett Larned and Candy Bennett and sister-in-law Jane Bennett. Also, many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and one great, great niece who illustrated her book, and two great, great nephews. Jackie loved her family very much and we loved her very much. Her passing is a great loss and she is missed and will be forever in our hearts.

Jackie was predeceased by her sister Muriel Lucas and three brothers, John F. Bennett Jr., Frederick W. Bennett II and Glen Oliver Bennett Sr., as well as her parents.
