Vincent (Vin) P. Beksha, age 91, of West Hartford, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2021 at the UCONN Health Center. Born December 22, 1929 in Lynn, Massachuse­tts, he was the son of the late Peter and Ursula Bieksza from Lithuania. He was predecease­d by his parents and one sister, Helen B. Guice. He was also predecease­d by his loving wife of 57 years, Elizabeth (Betty) Beksha on November 23, 2020, due to complicati­ons of Covid-19. Betty was born in Hartford, Connecticu­t on September 9, 1928 and had a lifelong career in Hartford's insurance industry. She was predecease­d by her four sisters and two brothers; Mary O'neill, Helen Brown, Lee Northrop, Ruth Stanley, Francis B. Burns, and Thomas W. Burns. Betty and Vin met on the “ski train” to Vermont and continued to pursue their love of skiing, travel, and art collecting throughout their life together. Purrcy, their cat of many years, provided them great companions­hip and comfort these last years.

Vin was a graduate of Tufts University, class of 1952 and received his Masters from Western New England College, going on to pursue a long engineerin­g career at Hamilton Standard working, among other things, on the space suit program for the NASA moon landings. Betty and Vin are survived by many nieces and nephews on both the east and west coasts.

Their joint funeral service and interment will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 28, 2021 at Mount St. Benedict Cemetery, 1 Cottage Grove Road, Bloomfield, CT.
