Cowing, Mary Ann (Lombard)

Mary Ann (Lombard) Cowing, 83, of East Hartford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 22, 2021 after a brief illness. Mary Ann was the loving wife of the late Edward “Ted” Cowing, whom she was married to for 52 wonderful years. Born in Hartford, a daughter of the late Phillip and Rose (Tudesco) Lombard, she had been a resident of East Hartford since 1962. Mary Ann was a graduate of Hartford Public High School, class of 1955. Prior to her retirement, she was a dedicated employee for The Defense Contract Management Agency for the United States Government as a Contract Administrator in East Hartford.

A devout catholic, Mary Ann was a faithful communicant of St. Christopher Church, East Hartford, and enjoyed volunteering with her late husband for Meals on Wheels. Those her knew Mary Ann will most remember her smile, her pure heart, her love of flowers and all animals, and her generosity. She will be missed by all her family, friends, and neighbors.

Honoring Mary Ann's wishes, private funeral service and burial will be held at the convenience of the family at Silver Lane Cemetery, East Hartford. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Mary Ann's name may be made to St. Edmund Campion Parish, 538 Brewer Street, East Hartford, CT 06118 or to Protectors of Animals, 144 Main Street, Unit O, East Hartford, CT 06118.
