Hartford Courant

Same content, different location

- Dear Reader, Andrew Julien Publisher & Editor-in-chief

Starting this week you will notice some changes in how the Courant is organized. The features and stories you currently enjoy are still here, some just in a different place.

Starting this week, you will notice some changes in how the Courant is organized.

Weekdays, the Living section will be combined with the Connecticut section into a single, more robust, section. It’s where you will now find news about your community along with favorites like Ask Amy, horoscopes, comics and puzzles. From Monday through Saturday, obituaries will be moving from the Connecticut section into the front section.

The front section and Sports will remain largely the same, though the daily weather map will be moving into a new home in the Sports section.

There are some more specific changes as well:

On Thursdays, Flavor will continue as a standalone section with recipes and features on cooking and dining. It will now be separate from the Living section, where you will find comics, puzzles, Ask Amy and other regular features.

On Saturdays, stories about cars and motoring will move into Sports.

With interest continuing to grow in homes and real estate, we are planning to combine Friday’s real estate coverage in the Living section with Sunday’s into a larger, consolidated Sunday Home & Real Estate section. This will make that great content available to more readers — including the popular local real estate listings.

On Sunday, we are reintroducing Success — content about work and careers — into the Connecticut section. The obituaries will remain in this section on Sundays.

These changes may take some getting used to, but please take a moment to explore the new format. The features and stories you currently enjoy are still here, some just in a different place. We are hoping over time these changes offer consistency and predictability in the makeup and order of the newspaper.

And, as always, thank you for your continuing commitment to the Courant.
