Sheets, Bella (Pacheco)

Bella (Pacheco) Sheets, 91, of Windsor, beloved wife to the late Ralph J. Sheets, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at her home with her family by her side. Bella was born on March 14, 1930, in East Providence, RI, daughter to the late Manuel and Maria-jose (Martin) Pacheco.

Bella grew up and attended her schooling in Providence before moving to Connecticut in 1960. Throughout the years, Bella was a member of the Red Hat Society, the Windsor Senior Citizens Club, the Windsor Golden Fellowship Club and the Cameo

Club, where, in 1998, Bella was voted 2nd runner-up in the Ms. Senior CT Beauty Pageant. Bella was an avid collector of hats who would frequently add to her collection whenever she had the chance. Bella had a kind and caring demeanor who loved to laugh and in turn, make others laugh. Bella is a communicant of St. Damien of Molokai Parish, St. Gabriel Church, in Windsor.

Bella is survived by her brother, Manuel Pacheco and his wife Joan of Rumford, RI; her sister-in-law Emily Pacheco of Rehoboth, MA; as well as many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and dear friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brother Gilbert Pacheco; her sister Mary Powers and her brother-in-law James Powers.

A time of visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, from 9-10 a.m. at the Carmon Windsor Funeral Home, 807 Bloomfield Ave., Windsor. A Mass of Christian Burial will celebrated at 10:30 a.m. at St. Damien of Molokai Parish, St. Gabriel Church, 379 Broad St., Windsor. Guests are asked to please wear bright and colorful clothing per Bella’s request. Burial with committal prayers will follow in Windsor Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
