Parisi, Suzanne J.

-

Suzanne J. Parisi, 56, of Jupiter Florida and formerly Newington and Farmington Connecticut, passed away peacefully and surrounded by her Mom and dear friends on Monday August 30th after a

courageous battle with lung cancer. She was born on November 25, 1964, in Hartford, CT, and was the daughter of Karin (Adelman) and the late Amedeo Parisi.

Suzanne (Suzy) graduated from Newington High School and pursued a career in cosmetology. She worked and eventually owned Galaxy Salon in Newington where she adored her work and loyal clients for many years. Looking for a change, she obtained further training as a Medical Assistant before relocating to Jupiter Florida in 2013. In search of warmer weather and with long term plans of eventually “taking one for the team” by serving as future caregiver for her parents, Suzy acclimated quickly and thoroughly embraced her new beginnings, careers and new friends. She had a passion for life especially after being given the ultimate gift of life, a kidney, from her sister in 1993. She cherished this gift and vowed to protect it with all her might as she danced, traveled, and enjoyed life to the fullest.

Suzy was extremely social and loved spending time with her large circle of loyal and dear friends. She was able to spend some quality time at the end with many of her special people and was so thankful for the time. She was planning a trip up north to see the others but time did not cooperate. In addition to her Mom and ultimate caregiver, Suzy leaves behind her beloved sister Christine Kasson and her husband Troy of Simsbury and her brother Kenneth Parisi and his wife Jodi (Plawecki)

of Berlin. She absolutely surpassed her goal to be the “Fun Aunt” to her cherished niece and nephews Gregory and Kyle Parisi and Rachel and Alex Kasson. They will all miss her dearly. She also leaves behind her extended families in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and Driedorf Germany with whom she had many fond memories. Her family would like to give a special thank you to Suzanne's friends Rob Gai and Debbie Friedman Miller who helped with her final transition.

Calling hours and a Celebration of Life are scheduled for Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 12:30 - 4:30pm at Indian Hill Country Club, 111 Golf Street, Newington, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Suzanne's memory to the National Kidney
