Bride, Joseph A.
Joseph A. Bride, 88, of Enfield, died on Thursday, August 26, 2021. He was born in Bristol, CT March 6, 1933 to the late Michael and Anastasia (Hynes) Bride. Joseph was a long-time resident of Enfield and a communicant of Holy Family Church. He retired from Pratt & Whitney after 35 plus years. He was very involved in the Boy Scouts of America, having attained Eagle Scout rank in his youth. He continued to work with the organization through his children's involvement in scouting. He supported and was very involved in all activities of his five children. Joseph had many interests over his lifetime but nothing compared to the love he had for his family and friends. He was fiercely loved in return. He leaves his children: Kathy Bedard and her husband David of Weare, New Hampshire, Lorie Moskal and her husband, Len of Holyoke, Massachusetts, David Bride of Enfield, Michael Bride and his wife Grace Beckett of
Enfield and John Bride of Agawam, Massachusetts; six grandchildren, Timothy (Heather), Michael, Sarah (Stefan), Kevin (Bridget), Jessica (Shay), and Jacob; his brother-in-law, Daniel Bielert and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Charlene who passed away in February, they would have been married 65 years in April 2021; also his siblings: his sister Helen Keating and her husband Ray, his brothers, William Bride and his wife Margaret, Edward Bride and his wife Isabel, his sister Mavis Hurley and her husband Thomas, and Joseph's twin sister Joanne Bielert and his son-in-law Terry Ruthelford. The family would like to thank the staff of Meadowbrook of Granby for their exceptional care of Joseph, as well as the many caregivers that cared for him at his home. Relatives and friends may join the family on Monday, September 6, 2021 from 12-2 pm at Leete Stevens Enfield Chapels, 61 South Rd, Enfield, CT. A Funeral Home Service will take place at 2:00 pm.
