William Lovett Gamble of Cummaquid, MA passed away peacefully on August 21, 2021 at the age of 88 after a long journey with Alzheimer's disease. He was born in Mt. Kisco, NY, the son of Jefferson Shaner Gamble and Marion Lovett Gamble. He grew up in Bristol, CT and

lived in Unionville, Burlington and Avon, CT before moving to Cummaquid, MA in 2001. Bill attended the Loomis Chaffee School in CT where he was a three- season athlete and Colgate University in NY before graduating with a B.S. in Industrial Design from Rhode Island School of Design in RI.

With his business partners, he founded an Industrial Design firm in 1961 which later transition­ed to a graphic design firm, Gamble and Bradshaw Design in Farmington, CT. His firm was known for award-winning and state-of-the-art designs including parts of the space suits worn by astronauts who landed on the moon; packaging and product designs for Spaulding, still in existence today; hardware and tool design for Stanley Black and Decker as well as hundreds of other

innovative designs.

Bill will be forever missed by his wife, Elizabeth Richardson Gamble, his four daughters, Jaye Donaldson (John), Dana Rebhun (Christian), Kate Lassiter (Michael), Amy Best (Michael) and his three stepsons, Michael Richardson (Kerry), Todd Richardson (Pam), and Steven Richardson (Bradley). His many grandchild­ren, Elizabeth (Taylor), Halle, Tory, Keeler, Cooper, Schuyler (Abbey), Hunter, Isabelle, Oliver, Zachary, Sierra, Eli and Mae will long feel the deep loss of their dear “Beegee”. also leaves his nieces, Gaye and Leslie, his nephew, Todd, brother-in law, Jon, and sister-in law, Gillian. He is predecease­d by his first wife, Jennifer Hall Gamble, the mother of his four daughters, his sister, Elizabeth Gamble Rowe and her husband, Thomas, and his grandson, Blaise Gamble Howe.
