Ronewicz, Walter

-

Walter Ronewicz, 83 of Southington, CT, entered eternal rest, surrounded by the love and support of his family, Sunday, August 29,

2021 after several months of declining health. He was born in Nanticoke, Pennsylvania to Margaret Karmilowicz and Walter S. Ronewicz, the youngest of three sons. He helped out on his family's small farm and worked any odd jobs he could find starting at an early age. He took pride in his skills at machining which led him to many great years spent working for Pratt & Whitney in which he retired from in 1999. He was exceptionally skilled in a wide range of hobbies including hunting with his brothers Joe and Tom, fly fishing, camping and working on his cars. Family was the pivotal essence of Walter's life. He was proud and honored to be the patriarch, father and grandfather to our large family. He has been a major presence in the lives of his children and grandchildren. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Beverly Ronewicz whom he spent many wonderful years with.

This gentle, loving, caring and wonderful man has left a permanent mark etched on our hearts and will be supremely missed by his son William Ronewicz and wife

Jeanne; His stepchildren Diane and Cary Skwiot; His many grandchildren including Albert, Danielle and Autumn Skwiot; And lastly his special little furry friend

Ollie. He never liked to be the center of attention. In life and now in death, he wouldn't want us to focus on him. He wouldn't want us to focus on the sadness of his death, but instead focus on the happiness in our lives. He would want us to appreciate each other and our future. A man as humble and loving as him will always be remembered by those of us who knew him and

loved him. Although we will miss him, his smile, his pranks, his love, we take consolation in the good feelings of our memories. “The song is ended, but the melody lingers on..."
