Charles Mcintyre, 72, of Naples, ME, formally long-time resident of Bristol, husband of Sandra (Jessen) Mcintyre, passed away peacefully on

November 26, 2021 at Salem Hospital in Massachuse­tts.

Charles was born in Yonkers, NY on January 9, 1949, the son of the late Herbert and Rose (Boyers) Mcintyre. He was a graduate of The University of New Haven and later worked for the Connecticu­t State Police for 28 years primarily in criminal investigat­ion, Major Crime and Organized Crime, where he retired in 1998 as Director of the Statewide Organized Crime Investigat­ive Task Force. He then joined Chubb Insurance as part of the Special Investigat­ive Unit for nearly 17 years. Upon his retirement in 2015, Charles spent much of his time in Naples, ME with his wife and family. An excellent craftsman, he created beautiful furniture as well as building his first home in Maine. He was a loving husband, father, grandfathe­r, and friend, and is surely missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his wife Sandra, he is survived by his sons Brett Mcintyre and his wife Julie of Beverly, MA, Casey Mcintyre, and Kelley Mcintyre, both of Bristol and 7 beloved grandchild­ren. Charles was pre deceased by his two sisters Roberta and Mary Ann Mcintyre.

Friends are invited to greet the family from 11 to 11:30 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 154 Meadow Street, Bristol, this Saturday December 4th followed by a Memorial Service at 11:30 AM.
