Jones, Lillian Jocelyn

Lillian “Jocelyn” Jones of Mashpee, MA, formerly of Glastonbury, CT, passed away peacefully at her home on December 18, 2021. She was the beloved wife of the late Thomas Kevin Jones with whom she shared 42 wonderful years of marriage.

Jocelyn was born January 18, 1942, to the late Alcide R. and Marie J. (Turcotte) Goulet. Following high school, she obtained her bachelor's degree in Nursing, and went on to earn a master's degree in Public Health while working full-time and raising two children. Jocelyn was a natural caregiver, and she greatly enjoyed her career as a registered nurse, and later went on to become a Nurse Practitioner. She worked in the nursing field, specializing in geriatrics for over 45 years.

When she wasn't working, Jocelyn loved to travel. She was an avid reader and could often be found curled up with a good book. She was a beach lover and so enjoyed the beautiful Cape Cod beaches that came to be her home. More than anything, Jocelyn enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, and she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Jocelyn is survived by her son, David Jones, and his wife Tanya, of Alpharetta, GA; her daughter, Lauren Hitchen, and her husband David, of Wrentham, MA; her six beloved grandchildren, Nicholas, Anthony, Benjamin, Jenna, Alison, and Brian, as well as many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas, her parents, Alcide and Marie Goulet, as well as her brothers, Ronald Goulet, and Norman Goulet. Jocelyn will be laid to rest with her husband at Holy Cross Cemetery, in Glastonbury, CT. Funeral services will be held privately.
