D'atri, Olive (Atkinson)
Olive Atkinson D'atri passed away on December 7, 2021 at the age of 83. Born in Willimantic, CT on October 8, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Olive and Joseph
Atkinson. Olive is predeceased by her husband of 59 years Vincent Michael D'atri. She is survived by her two daughters Kim D'atri Trumbull and son-in-law Kevin of New Hartford, CT as well as daughter Christina D'atri Caslowitz and son-in-law Carl of Canton. She also leaves four beloved grandchildren: Ashley and Morgan Trumbull and Brandon and Taylor Zuccaro. She was anticipating her first great grandchild, Zoey Zuccaro, expected in January. In addition, Olive is predeceased by her brother Joseph Atkinson of Aiken, SC and survived by her sister Doris Hartley of Simsbury, CT.
Olive was a 1956 graduate of Windham High School in Willimantic, CT. She dedicated her career to insurance at Connecticut General and later at Security
Connecticut Life Insurance until she retired in 2000. Olive loved vacationing with her husband in their
motorhome, walking the trails near her Canton home, and spending long summer days at the family cottage on West Hill Lake. Her family and friends can attest to her sharp, feisty, and charismatic personality that was adored and memorable to so many.
For the past two years, Olive was a resident of Keystone Place in Torrington, CT where she was made at home thanks to the care of the compassionate staff. Olive enjoyed the company of great friends and loved participating in the fun activities organized by this close-knit community. Olive was truly cared for by the Keystone staff and her family is forever grateful for the support and kindness they bestowed on her.
