Wilson, Elizabeth M.
Elizabeth Mary Wilson, 66, of Manchester, passed away Monday, December 21, 2021. Born and raised in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago in the city of Arima, daughter of the late Hubert and Albertina Wilson. She and her family immigrated to the United States when Elizabeth was seventeen. Elizabeth proudly served in the US Marine Corps from 1974-1977. After her Honorable Discharge she began her career with the State of Connecticut Department of Labor as a Judicial Consultant. She retired after 40 years. Full of fun and laughter, Elizabeth loved to cook, dance, listen to music, and spend time with her grandchildren. She leaves a son Anthony J. Wilson and his fiancé Shaquanda Adgers of East Hartford and a daughter Ashley A. Wilson of Manchester; two brothers John Wilson of Hartford and Leslie Wilson of Vernon; two sisters Bernadine Wilson of Hartford and Precious Wilson of Trinidad; grandchildren Anyia Griffin, Anthony “AJ” Wilson, Jr., and Aiden Wilson; and two aunts Arlene Thomas of Vernon and Yolande Quashie of Philadelphia, PA. Her family will receive friends Wednesday December 29, 2021, from 10:00AM to 11:30 AM followed by a Funeral Service at 11:30 AM at the LODGE Community Chapel, 130 Deerfield Road, Windsor. A reception will follow the service. Burial with military honors will be in the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery. The Carmon Windsor Funeral Home is caring for the arrangements.
